Choosing a Sliding Panel Saw for Your Cabinet Shop

A sliding panel saw is the machine that separates a cabinet shop from a garage. That gives square, tear-free crosscuts on large panels. The second is the scoring blade, a small blade ahead of the main blade that scores the underside of coated stock so the bottom face does not chip.

Single phase or three phase: decide this first

Power phase is the single most common reason a panel saw purchase goes sideways. The BMS.1600.IR and BMS.3200.IR are offered in single phase, which most small and mid shops already have. The Titanium, Platinum, and Diamond are three phase machines. If your shop is single phase and you want one of those, you will need three phase service or a phase converter, and that cost belongs in your budget from the start.
